The journey from grain to glass started at River which is better known for its shipbuilding activities. When James Whyte and Charles Mackay got the chance to provide residents of Glasgow with their blended whisky, this brand was launched and never looked back.

The process starts off with selecting the finest aged single malts and matured grain whiskies from Highland and Speyside. Then these two whiskies are carefully matured and afterwards married off in sherry casks. This process of triple maturation turns out in a whisky that is rich in color, aromatic with smoothness felt on the nose, and affluence of honey and fresh fruits.

Their ideology is putting in greater effort to get greater rewards. That’s why, their bag is full of awards and appreciation from whisky lovers. Fans are confused as if the whisky’s golden color is due to its ingredients and maturation process or due to the numerous golds it has won till date, wink!

Its color is quite rich mahogany gold with glittering amber. The aroma is very smooth with warm and pleasing hints of marzipan, Manuka honey, creamy caramel and Demerara sugar, accompanied by whispers of glazed pineapple, cider apples and praline chocolate. It begins with rich and revitalizing flavors of tropical fruits, rose hip syrup, caramelized orange slices and macaroons. It finishes with peaches in syrup, liquorice and Seville preserves.
