Production Details
Crafted by apprentice malt master Kelsey McKechnie, this expression sees traditional Balvenie aged in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in virgin American oak casks that were heavily toasted in Kentucky before shipping to Dufftown. The result is a fresh infusion of flavor, sweet, sunny, and layered.

Kelsey McKechnie, the young mind behind this whisky, became one of the youngest people ever to hold the title of apprentice malt master at a major distillery. Her approach with this expression introduced new American oak into Balvenie’s lineup for the first time, a nod to bourbon traditions, done the Speyside way.
