Auchentoshan is the first Triple Distilled Single Malt in Scotland. The fresh spirit is the main distillate of any single malt distillery in Scotland, with all the raw elements in the liquid distilled away and, as such, creates Auchentoshan, the delicate as well as the smoothest single malt scotch whisky in taste.
The 12-year-old is triple refined then seasoned for over twelve years. It Lowland Single Malt Whisky has the appealing aroma of caramelized, toasted almonds, toffee and the signature smooth, delicate, as well as the Auchentoshan taste.
For several years Auchentoshan owned itself as the only triple distilled single malt Scotch whisky. The distillation method is commonly publicized, particularly by Irish distillers, as a technique that results in a contracted selection of cut spirit and an ultimate lighter make – ergo a 'smoother' finishing whisky.
But, Auchentoshan has been far-off from the only Scotch whisky to produce triple distilled spirit – Benrinnes and Springbank (via Hazelburn, which was primarily presented in 2005). they have paired together and used partial triple distillation, and lately, Benromach, Benriach, and Bruichladdich have all formed small-batch whiskies using the technique.
Each bottle has a crusty golden honey color tone in the product's color. Have you ever wondered what gives the whisky its color? The process of maturing over 12 years as the liquid comes into touch with the barrel. The longer a whisky season will regulate its flavor as well as the color of the product.
It is a Single Malt Scotch whisky with a typical aroma of crème Brulee to the nose with a flash of citrus and then the basic green leafiness as well as the nuttiness you would presume from Auchentoshan.
The taste is very smooth, and a touch of sweetness comes with the minute dash of the line, and tangerine characterizes it in almost 12-year-old.
The finish of the whisky suggests a gingery and a little dry finish with a lovely, lingering nuttiness.
