Considered as Bourbon's firey cousin, Rye whiskey, has been drawing alot of praise and demand in the last few years.  During 2015 and 2016, the demand for rye rose by over 33%, forcing farmers to plant more fields to accommodate the demand.  Just like the regulations for bourbon, for a whiskey to be called rye, its formula must be at least 51% rye. 

Unlike bourbon that has a sweeter flavor profile, rye tends to lean on the savory side. With pepper and spicy notes, the best comparison is a slice of rye bread vs corn bread.  We packaged a kit that has 4 distinct rye flavors for you to enjoy a whole different world of American whiskey.
