Description:

Sazerac Company, Inc. created sazerac Rye at Buffalo Trace Distillery. The headquarters is located in New Orleans and was established in the 1800s.

According to the liquor industry, it has been believed that they have initially introduced the cocktail, later the bar, then the full fledged company. Antoine Peychaud, a Creole immigrant, would blend absinthe, brandy, and bitters formed at his pharmacy situated in the French Quarter.

The cocktail has come up as a popular element at the city's most of the "coffee houses," which is then used for drinking institutions at the time. Peychaud's concoction has resulted as the most powerfully associated with one coffee house in specific, and the Sazerac Coffee House sited on Exchange Alley.

The owner of the coffee place, Sewell Taylor, established the drink with the help of only Sazerac de Forge et Fils brandy, which he imported to the U.S. and sold completely. The cocktail earned its name as a result. Thomas H. Handy attained the Sazerac Coffee House in 1869, subsequently then Peychaud's bitters in 1873.

Then in the 1890s, his company bottled as well as advertised the Sazerac cocktail, which has now been produced with rye whiskey in contrast to brandy. Finally, C.J. O'Reilly, the secretary of Handy, chartered the Sazerac Company.

Sazerac Rye Whiskey has introduced a limited 18-year-old release and a current no-age-statement released in two variants. The checked release is an 18-year-old manifested annually in the Buffalo Trace Antique Gathering. The ongoing proclamation has aged for at least four years, and at one time, was said to be about six years old.

The whiskey has been named for the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, the origin of the famous – and magnificent – Sazerac cocktail. The Coffee House was founded by Thomas H Handy, the owner of Peychaud's Bitters.

The aromas of clove, orange zest, and raisin greet the senses, with a touch of rye spice as well as anise underneath. It's soft with a gentle delivery, permitting an intense inhale to draw out the fainter fragrances. It has a slight as well as the pleasant aroma of an overall stunning blend.

The product's taste is fruity, including various flowers, orange peel, sweet apricots, and plums that meet more traditional undertones of vanilla and caramel. Light barrel char teases in the background and blend raisin and anise undertones. The body is very lightweight, and at 90 proof, needs a bit of probing to pull out all the tastes.

The product's finish is rye spice bursts forth, then only briefly. A black liquorice dash follows, but a spicy-sweet balance of caramel, dark fruit, and black pepper has instantly overtaken it. It's medium-length and welcomes you back for more.

Moreover, It has earned Gold, Rye - No Age Statement – 2017, The American Whiskey Masters (The Spirits Business) and 3rd Place, Best Rye Whiskey – 2015 in International Whisky Competition.
