The Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood is a Speyside Singlemalt Whisky that was introduced in 1993 using Balvenie’s special process called Wood Finishing. In this process, the doublewood spent 12 years in American whisky casks and were matured for 9 more months in Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

Because of this, the bottle will give you sherry and vanilla essences, smooth spiced nut tastes, and a lasting warm finish.

This is truly a specially crafted bottle as it has won several awards such as:

• the Gold Award for Speyside Single Malts up to 12 yo category in 2015 in The Scotch Whisky Masters (The Spirits Business).
• Gold award for Distillers' Single Malts 12 years and under in the International Spirits Challenge 2014.
