Chivas regal XV was unveiled in 2018 in Scotland, and it is a 15-year-old blended Scotch whisky that has been finished in casks that earlier held Grande Champagne Cognac! Whisky makers are slowly introduced to use Cognac casks for aging more and more these days, and people reckon it's a delightful style, as it facilitates bringing vivacious fruit notes and enriched with oak to the fore. 

The color of the Chivas regal XV is Light Amber, which is artificially given to this scotch. The aroma of the whiskey is little on the Sweet and slightly on the lighter side. People would imagine using Ex-Bourbon casks and other Sherry Wood for maturing. 

The Grain Alcohol is noticeable, so you think that nearly 30% of this Spirit is Malt Whisky. However, you don't know exactly which Single Malts.  It gives main notes of buttered toast, toasted grain, butterscotch, dried fruits like raisins, caramel, sultanas, and apricots. Moreover, it has artificially flavored oranges, candies, stewed orchard fruit, straw, dough, dusty refill oak, grain alcohol, and cinnamon.

The taste of the whiskey is sugary, sweet, and slightly light as it has toasted grains, caramels, butterscotch, dried fruit raisin, apricot, sultanas, and plums. Furthermore, it has pears, stewed apples, citrus peel, dusty refill oak, grapefruit juice, cinnamon, and pepper. 

On the other hand, The supportive flavors have the accents of toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, honey, cloves, hind of milk chocolates, and herbal tea. 

The finish of the Chivas regal XV has a middle long, medium-dry, and thin and the sugary sweet at first but with some bitterness towards the finish. The main finishing elements are the flavors of oranges, toasted grain, red apples, pears, plums, hazelnuts, pepper, cloves, and ginger.
