 Description:

In the glass, the Reserva Merlot from Terra Noble offers a dense purple-red color. If you hold the glass at an angle, you can see a transition of the hue towards garnet red at the edges. This single varietal Chilean wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of plums, blackberries, blueberries, and blackcurrants can be in a glass.

This Chilean wine inspires by its elegantly dry taste picture. It was brought with 3.5 grams of residual sugar on the bottle. 

As one can expect from a glass of wine in the upper price range, this Chilean enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. This dense red wine presents itself full of pressure and facets on the palate. 

Due to its lively fruit acid, the Reserva Merlot presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Valle Central, which is capable of maturing well, finally delights with a beautiful reverberation

It is time to talk about Chile. Today’s merlot comes from Terranoble, a Chilean producer with vineyards covering 320 hectares in the Maule, Colchagua, and Casablanca valleys. They’ve been around since 1993 and, like many producers, have a number of different tiers to their wines.

This one is from the “varietal” tier, which is the lowest cost of their portfolio.  It’s labeled as ‘coming from the Central Valley’, which tells us that it’s not from one specific appellation like Maule Valley. It has named a few awards on its name like 2002 Vintage: Gold - Vinalies Internationales. 

The nose is rather pointed on this merlot, showing some acidic and alcohol notes. It also offers some raspberry and plum. The palate is nice, with raspberry, cherry, and plum flavors along with vibrant acidity.  It has decent fruit without being overly jammy. The finish is medium in length and shows more of the red fruit flavors.
